The Soulmate Elysium 905 was developed for fly fishermen who don't want to choose between feel and performance.

Modern high-modulus rods are often extremely fast, light, and direct – but sometimes this comes at the cost of precisely what makes fly fishing so special: the feeling of how the rod loads and how the line works. While classic vintage rods offer this feeling in abundance, they often load very deeply and quickly reach their limits in terms of distance and line control.

The Elysium closes precisely this gap.

Its progressive, sensitive action allows the blank to work pleasantly even at short and medium distances and provides exceptionally direct feedback. At the same time, the 905 has enough backbone and reserves to hold significantly more line in the air when needed and to present with control even at greater distances.

Especially as a #5, it is the perfect all-rounder for rivers and stillwaters: dry flies, dry-dropper rigs, light nymphs, or smaller streamers can all be fished with equal confidence.

Visually, the Elysium also follows its own path. The unsanded carbon surface gives the blank a classic, understated character, while the precisely ground ferrules ensure a high-quality and clean connection of the rod sections.
