NEW! Soulmate Obsidian Reach 962 - 9´6ft 2wt HM Fly Rod Blank

Soulmate Obsidian Reach 962 Fly Rod Blank – More Range for Ultra-Fine Dry Fly Fishing

With the Soulmate Obsidian 962, we are expanding the Obsidian Reach series with the finest class – a blank for all fly anglers who are looking for more range and line control when dry fly fishing with the finest tippets, without sacrificing feel and delicate presentation.

With a length of 9’6” and a line class of #2, the Obsidian 962 combines the sensitivity of an ultralight dry fly rod with the advantages of a longer blank. The additional 6 inches provide more range, better mending control, and longer, controlled drifts – while the soft tip also protects the finest tippets during a fight. Ideal for clear rivers, quiet pools, and anywhere that wary fish require a particularly subtle presentation.

The balanced medium-fast to fast action loads comfortably even with a small amount of line, offers direct feel for the line and cast, and yet has enough backbone to keep a bit more line controlled in the air.

Made from modern HM Toray HDC carbon, the blank impresses with its low weight, high recovery speed, and very clean power transfer. The classic but modern copper tan finish underscores the classic, high-quality look and makes the Obsidian 962 the ideal basis for a modern, ultralight custom build.
