VINTAGE SERIES WF

Simplicity was the primary focus when developing the Vintage Series. There are two different lines: a Double Taper and a Weight Forward. The DT line is designed for finer dry fly work, while the WF line can accommodate a wider range of larger flies. The line is finished in a light olive shade.

Both lines are offered in 80' lengths in sizes 3 through 5 and 90' in sizes 6 through 8. We find the extra length in the smaller sizes isn't needed, and the shorter length better suits the smaller reels used in the heyday of your older rods. The WF lines only come with a loop on the front of the line.

The 406 lines are suitable for most glass, cane, and other slow-action rods on the market today and are designed for precision and a smooth presentation. If you want a line that will land where you want it without scaring the entire pool, then these lines are for you.

All 406 fly lines feature AST Technology, a patented dry-slick technology that ensures continuous line smoothness, allowing the line to shoot farther as it travels through the guides. Lines with AST Technology simply roll off dirt, algae, and other parasitic particles, allowing them to cast farther, swim higher, and stay cleaner than conventional lines.
